I love learning from other brainy business babes in their own words! Here are 4 great celebrity girlboss interviews I recently spotted:

Kristen Bell

Kristen guest-edited Parents magazine this month, because I’m sure she has lots of free time between being a mom, actor, and entrepreneur. In her opinion article, she talked about philanthropy and This Bar Saves Lives, a company she founded that makes nutrition bars and donates to charities fighting hunger. Kristen says, “I think everyone has a great internal kindness barometer, if you can awaken it.” Honestly, I think Kristen is my spirit animal. I can’t stop laughing at this video she and her husband Dax made on their honeymoon.

Carrie Underwood

In an interview with Redbook, Carrie reveals how playing sports as a girl helps her today as mega-platinum music star and activewear designer: “It was being part of a team, taking direction from people other than your parents, practicing to get better at something. Winning together. Losing together. Those are important skills to learn at an early age… It all applies to life now.” [applause emoji]

Anna Kendrick

This month’s Glamour magazine featured an excerpt from the Pitch Perfect star’s latest book, Scrappy Little Nobody, which had me simultaneously rooting for her and experiencing flashbacks to my last bad relationship. I actually laughed out loud at her response when her reluctant quasi-boyfriend tells her, “I guess I don’t want to miss out on any opportunities.”

“I should have screamed, ‘I’m the opportunity, you asshat!’”

Gwyneth Paltrow

Last but definitely not least, the actor and GOOP founder was interviewed by the amazing Samantha Bee (bonus brainy celebrity babe!) in this month’s Harper’s Bazaar. Samantha asked Gwyneth about the values her parents instilled in her. Gwyneth’s response: “I remember when I started acting and didn’t get a part and was really jealous of the girl who got it. My mom would say to me, “If you don’t get a part, that means it’s not your part. It’s just not yours. You will have your parts.” Sounds like Blythe was way ahead of the curve on #communityovercompetition!
